Shimano SH-GF800 white MTB shoe is designed for riders using flat platform pedals who seek grip and foot support on technical terrain. Its enduro and downhill-focused design combines a supportive structure aimed at reducing foot fatigue on long descents with a BOA closure system.

The ULTREAD GF rubber sole supports contact with pedal pins without requiring the foot to mechanically lock onto the pedal. Thus, it offers a cycling-specific shoe option for those who want to ride without clips.

Platform pedal grip with ULTREAD GF

The slow-rebound rubber compound and wide hexagonal sole pattern enhance grip on pedal pins. The patterned surface also contributes to ground traction when getting off the bike and walking.

Force Control and TORBAL 2.0

The reinforced support plate limits bending in the arch area to reduce fatigue on long descents. TORBAL 2.0 allows lateral torsion, supporting freedom of movement in turns and descents. Layered EVA foam helps absorb shocks.

Practical tightness adjustment with BOA L6

The single BOA L6 dial on each shoe offers precise tightening and quick release. The protective structure around the dial limits accidental opening during contact with terrain. To tighten, press and turn the dial; to release, simply pull it up.

Neoprene wrist circumference and durable upper surface

The neoprene section wrapping the wrist helps reduce the entry of small stones and dirt. The quick-drying synthetic leather upper surface is complemented by a textured print on the nose area that enhances durability. Base channels support water drainage.
